You need to be careful when feeding deer. Deer are not always friendly, especially bucks. Also if you take to feeding the deer for any given time you might end up with more deer than you can handle. Remember always, deer are wild and should be treated as such. You can get them a salt block. Deer love salt. The best bet though is oats or corn like the prior answer. Also don't let the deer into your garden area or you won't have a garden for long. Deer eat any plant that is little like bushes or saplings. They also will strip any small trees of bark if they stay for long.
We have found that some of the deer that frequent our yard daily like bread! We also accumulate apples and Pears in the early fall and store them in our cold basement. You can put out salt and/or mineral blocks. We pick up leaf covered limbs from fallen trees.... they love the green leaves! It's a good source and food and water for them.
Corn, dog food.
Please search "feeding wild deer" on Google. EVERY article pleads with the public NOT to feed wild deer even if you feel they are on the thin side. People do more harm to the deer population than good when they feed so please, resist the urge to feed the deer and instead look into planting tree's and shrubs that will aid in their natural diet.
no you can not feed deer to a goat it would just probably die.
Grass is the most inexpensive feed you can feed your cows. It grows in your backyard and in your pastures, and only requires the cows to harvest it themselves. Hay comes as the second least expensive feed to feed cattle.
