Nothing has been proven, but there are theories.
Chains of volcanoes along continental coastlines.
It is something that is proven as true and indisputable.
i think that if anyone had to answer this, it would be someone with professional knowledge on the topic. I would probably say that someone like a PROFESSOR. Plate tectonics is a huge topic, and it needs constant thinking and deep thought into why each tectonic plate actually moves as it does. I personally think that the Atlantic Ocean is one that expands due to the fact that it simply is HUGE and vast as it is.
Plate tectonics is the theory that the landmasses on the earth's surface move. The pieces of the earth's surface sit on liquid rock beneath it, which causes these plates to move away or toward each other.
something know or proven to be true like the sun is a star . the earth is round. earth is a planet .
In fact, Mars doesn't have plate tectonics like Earth.
An ancient ocean (Tethys Sea), opened to split Pangea in two.
A fact
fact..................
Something capable of being proven
The fact that they were separated by sometimes thousands of miles suggested continental drift or plate tectonics.
something that is proven to be true.
Chains of volcanoes along continental coastlines.
It is something that is proven as true and indisputable.
can be proven (apex)
In science, a theory is something that is not fully proven, but has strong supporting evidence. Some common theories that are well known, and seen by most people as fact include; Evolution, Plate Tectonics, and Gravity. All three of these have enough evidence to be scientifically sound, but we have not yet given 100% proof to turn them from scientific theory into scientific law.
To accept something as the truth means just that - to admit that something is a proven fact.
