well the crust goes in the grain group. the cheese goes in the milk group. and the sauce under the cheese goes in the vegetable group. so Pizza is in three groups.
Well, what I think about how pizza got its name is that pizza comes from Italy so pizza might have menat something soooo delicous. that is what i think but i am not sure though that is not a correct and or positive answer. :) good luck
