Distributor is on top of the engine in the back on all traditional Pontiac V8s, behind the carburetor. Follow the spark plug wires.
Depending on the brand, anywhere from $25 to $35 on average.
The exact Gap size is .045 I have the same car :^)
Firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. The distributor rotates counter clockwise.
They have to be in the firing order.
Takes the spark from the coil and distributes it to each spark plug in the firing order.
The distributor distributes the spark to the spark plugs at the correct time and order.
