TAPshift is when you don't have a clutch, and you have paddles (usually on your steering wheel) that allow you to manually change your gear to be able to do things such as redline and maximize your performance. You are still able to drive it like a normal automatic in 'D' mode, but you have the extra package available on the side.
The shift lock solenoid is located on top of the steering column. You will need to remove the steering column covers, lower dash trim, and the heater duct. Remove the steering column bolts and lower the steering column to access the shift lock solenoid.
SOMETIMES IF THE STEERING WHEEL IS LOCKED YOU WONT BE ABLE TO SHIFT OUT OF PARK. TRY JIGGERING THE STEERING WHEEL AROUND.
