This is a debatablue subject since there are over 165 choices. However the following answers are for opinion for Wiki answers users that have played Runescape.

The hardest quest (members of non members) in Runescape is Nomad's Requiem. This is highly debatable because of the final boss fight. The final boss, Nomad, is level 699, is the 3rd strongest boss in Runescape in terms of level. He is very different from your average Runescape boss; he has 5 differents types of attacks and any player that thinks that all you need to do is get the most powerful weapon in Runescape and wack him until he dies is sadly mistaken.

Spoiler alert: Do not read further until you see the "End spoiler" if you do not what to know how the boss battle is like

What is he like? He is a very good fighter who seems to have a back problem. Nontheless, he has 5 different types of attack.

  1. Magic based melee attack
  2. An attack that takes 750 of your lifepoints (can be avoid)
  3. Shadow clone Jutsu (Yes, like Naruto, but he only makes 4)
  4. An attack that takes your max life points -1 (cannot be avoid) (Yes, like Sephiroth)
  5. Berserker Melee (his really fast, despite a back problem)

Here are some other useless fact you might want to know if you fight him.

  • Protection/deflection prayers seem to have little or no effect
  • He heals to 5000 life point when he is down to 5000 lifepoints
  • You can't flee in the middle of the battle
  • Your items are safe, you will respawn at Soul wars and there will be a gravestone for your times.
  • Any items on your beast of burden will be lost if you die
  • Waiting out the Shadow clones behind a pillar will give you time to heal and pot for 1 minute
  • He sets landminds before he does his 750
  • Stepping on the landmind will take 400 life points and soem run energy
  • He will teleport you to the center adn do the max life points -1. He will give oyu about 15 seconds to eat and pot up.
  • Most player prefer Saradonmin Brews over Rocktal because you get much more for one inventory spot.
  • Drink a Super restore for every 3 dose of brew
  • Void or D'hide, it seems to matter little
  • Overload potion seems to work well
  • If using ancient curses, make sure Sap warrior, Sap mage, Berserker, Soul Split, and Turmoil are always on; your Super restore potion make up for the massive drain
  • When he goes berserker, Protect/deflect melee works well
  • A good special would be a Saradomin Godsword or Enhanced Excalibur
  • If both you and Nomad die at he end of the quest, (Vengence, Ring of Recoil, Retribution, Wrath) the victory will still be yours

The debatable part is whether killing him is a challenge. This answer will vary. Level 90s have been able to kill him while lvl 135s still have a challenge ever getting close. The reason for that is the level 90s uses techniques rather that combat skill in general. What does that mean? Since Nomad has 10000 Life points, hitting with a Godsword will still takes some mighty time. The techniques are removing a chuck of that without use actual combat. Some of the techniques are listed below.

  • Ambush scroll with Kyatt
  • Ruby (e) bolts
  • Hit and run
  • Vengence
  • Dragonstone (e) bolts
  • Steel/Iron Titan
  • Ancient Curses
  • Waiting out the clones

These technique all have to do with combat, but they rely all on something special rather than a Godsword with relies on pure power. I'll give an example on all the techniques listed above.

  • The easiest way for a low level to kill Nomad is a using a Sprirt Kyatt with its special move, Ambush. What this does is calls the Kyatt to make a swift, undelayed attack upon order. This has the ability to hit up to 300s.
  • Another easy way is to use Ruby (e) bolts. Many high levels use this as well as low levels. What this technique does is take a small portion of the uses life points and add it to the attack. What this means in number is the special takes 10% of the users life points and the attack will instead hit 20% of the opponents life points. However, this has limits when fighting Nomad. Since he has 10000 life points, giving up 80-100 life points to take 2000 life points may seem like a great deal, right? Wrong. Althought it does take 10% of your life, it will hit a maximum of 750 on Nomad, which is still a great deal.
  • This is a great technique for many. This involves hitting him and running behind a pillar. This is great because you will get hit one for one instead of one for two. Confused? What this means is that the questers attack is usually slower than Nomad, meaning every time you hit, you will get hit twice. Hit and run let you get hit once for hitting nomad once. This is sometimes risky because if you do not hit him after your last hit in time (7-8 seconds), he will heal to full life, meaning you will have to start over. He will give you the signs when your taking to long.
  • Common to those, who have high magic, this is very useful since Nomad has a big attack that takes a huge chuck of your life points, and you can recoil the majority of it.
  • This can be expensive, but it is usefull whne he does his max life points -1 so you dont blood scariface right before the big one.
  • Common if you have high summoning or don't, this speaks for itself along with its Iron within/Steel of legends.
  • Sap is very useful Since Nomad is very powerful. Useful even with out Turmoil and Soul Split
  • As mentioned above, best to wait it out so you can heal and pot. If you do not wish to do that, you will have to attack them all until you find the real Nomad.

In addition to the difficult final battle, you will have to undergo a difficult puzzle and some other fights.

Usually something will go wrong the first time; experiencing Nomad is the best way to learn how to beat him. May seem to fail because when they fix a problem, a new on usually appears. This causes an endless cycle until broken. A trip costs 400-500k, a very expensive price to pay for something you think you will fail.

This may seem like a quest guide, but the only way to answer this question is to break down all the fundalmental factors that make this quest hard.

End Spoiler

Others might say While Guthix Sleep is the hardest quest. They are true, too. That quest is byfar the longest and the quest with the hardest requirments. In addition, it has a very epic story and when it was release, it required the completion of all previous quests. It was considered the last great update in Runescape. Althought the rewards were flawed, this quest receive much positive feedback for the great story and the expensive rewards (at was expensive on release day).

The question all comes down to whether you think the final boss battle of Nomad's Requiem is difficult.

Some other quests are so annoying, they're hard. A list can be found below

  • Contact
  • Mourning End's Part 2
  • One Small Favor
  • Ratcatchers
  • Sheep Herder
  • Summer's End
  • Underground pass (only with low level, which is a level many attempt it at)

The highest monster in RuneScape is the Corporeal Beast, at level 785 with 20,000 Life points it can be very difficult to slay.

It is recommended to have high combat stats, 90+ before trying to take on the Corporeal Beast. You should also consider taking a team. You can find a team in the Monster section of the Runescape Forums.

The monster has a maximum melee hit of 513 and a maximum magic hit of 650. It has very high defense and life point levels, making it extremely hard to solo.

Gravestones cannot be obtained in the area. However, players have 2 minutes to return to the cave and pick up their items if they happen to die. To get back in time, it's useful to have a death spawn at Soul Wars. Grab a Super energy out of the bank, teleport to Clan Wars and run back. A grave will appear as usual, however, for players who die outside of the area.

Currently the hardest monster in runescape is the 'Corporeal beast'

information about Corporeal beast:

  • combat level:728
  • hitpoints: 2000
  • melee max hit: 51
  • range max hit: 55
  • magic max hit: 65

this is the only monster that impossible to fight alone, since its defense and hitpoints is extremely high and you cannot pray vs its attacks, also if you die you will NOT have a grave to recover your items later.

Improved by IR o IF LI believe that the hardest monster to kill is Tz-Tok-Jad.

Tz-Tok-Jad can only be reached by completing 60 different levels of a mini-game, who range from Lv6 to Lv360. This is one of the main reasons that he is the hardest monsters in the game.

Melee Max Hit: 99

Range Max Hit: 99

Magic Max Hit: 99

So, well, its a tough one

well there is no doubt that the corporal best is the hardest monster in runescape seeing how it is impossible to solo where as u have to solo the tz-tok-jad and i know a lvl 70 who has gotten all the way threw it... becasue he has gotten the fire cape

Nex is currently the strongest attackable monster in Runescape. She is combat level 1001 and has 30,000 hitpoints. She is Members-only and uses Magic, Melee, and Ranged. She has the best drops of all Runescape monsters dropping the Torva, Pernix and Virtus equipment. She drops the most expensive 'drom from a monster-item in the game dropping the Pernix body costing 450M at the moment.

The monster with the highest combat level in Runescape is the Ferret of Doom having combat 9001. The Ferret of Doom is NOT attackable and only appears in quest 'Thok It To 'Em'. The combat level of the ferret is a reference to the internet meme "Over 9000" (which came from the anime series Dragon Ball Z)
