I have been teasing my hair for two years.
It isn't that bad for your hair,
as long as you know how to comb out out the knots without
ripping your hair out(:
i just have split ends from straightening my hair, not teasing :D
Teasing your hair is when you lift up a section of your hair, take a comb or brush and move it up and down underneath the section you lifted up. This creates a build up of hair, creating a volumized look when you drop back down the section of hair.
First and formost Teasing is bad for the hair, very bad. Everytime you tease your hair you are spliting every hair shaft that comes incontact with the brush. Even thou you may not see it within a two or so weeks your hair will become very fragile (if not already) and will become frizzy and just hard to handel! Now that I'm done with my little chat, Teasing can't make you go bald all the sudden but people who tease there hair is clinicly (or how ever you spell clinic with ly) proven to thin WAY faster and some time yes it does make you go bald. But mostly thins out you hair!
Basically, it gives your hair a lot of volume. :)
yes it does as it would strip all your oils out of your hair
Yes, excessive back combing (or "teasing") the hair will cause breakage.
No, it's not hard on hair, bleaching, straightening and dyeing are much harder on hair and could cause damage.
Certainly. As can a straight iron and curling iron. The heat from the blow dryer can make your hair frizzy and over time, cold cause permanent damage
i dont think so, because i know that everytime you brush your hair you are actually treating your hair, but brushing your hair too much may cause hair loss.
in some cases yes, but too much will damage it and cause it to break and literally burn.
Straightening your hair too much can cause permanent damage to the hair, and can give the hair a straight frizzy appearance. The first thing to do to repair this damage is to get a hair cut. Once the hair is cut, start using deep conditioning therapies on the hair to improve the hairs texture.
Perms damage your hair which eventually thins it out, just like straightening it or blowdrying it too much can. Although, hairspray should not thin your hair.
Cut it out or soak it in nail polish remover. This may cause damage to the hair, depending on how much treatment is needed. Generally, the hair should recover well.
Because not brushing/combing properly can rip out your hair and cause breakage or damage, the only way to replenish hair after that much breakage would be a shampoo that strengthens hair.
Hair straighteners apply excessive heat to hair, and by doing so, break the microscopic scales on each hair shaft. This damages the hair shaft and can cause it to break or dull after multiple uses.
Dying your hair is never good because of all the chemicals .... but bleaching is worse than dying the hair . it wont cause much more damage .
It Does Not Damage Your Hair If You Dont Use Too Much.....And Wash It Out The Same Day
Yes saltwater can damage your hair. It depends on how much you are in the salt. But you can prevent damage from keeping moisturizers in your hair.
