It's been a while since I've done mine. But I can tell you this, the intake push rods are the short ones.
On my ( 1995 ) Ford Explorer with the 4.0 OHV / pushrod design V6 engine the EGR valve is located low down just to the left of the engine oil dipstick ( when you look into the engine compartment from the drivers side , it has a round shaped top on it )
over head valve ( also known as a pushrod engine ) The Ford 4.0 liter EFI engine is an over head valve engine ( that's what I have in my 1995 Ford Explorer )
Either the 3.0 liter " Vulcan " V6 or the 3.8 liter V6 . Both engines are overhead valve / pushrod design
My 1995 Ford Explorer XLT , with the 4.0 liter EFI , V6 engine ( which is an Over Head Valve / pushrod design engine ) holds ( 21 U.S. gallons in the gas tank )
This is only going to answer half of the question : On a 1995 Ford Explorer , 4.0L EFI , V6 engine ( which is an Over Head Valve / pushrod design ) There are ( 2 ) oxygen sensors * I BELIEVE they are in the outlets of each exhaust manifold *
On my 1995 Ford EXPLORER ( which has the 4.0 liter OHV / pushrod design / VIN " X " engine ) the EGR valve is just to the left of the engine oil dipstick ( when looking into the engine compartment from the drivers side ) It is lower down and has a round top on it
On my 1995 Ford Explorer , 4.0 litre EFI ( which is the Over Head Valve / pushrod design engine ) If I look in the engine compartment from the drivers side , I can see the EGR valve just to the left of the engine oil dipstick ( low down , it has a round top )
I'm not a mechanic / technician but as far as I know the answer is ( No ) From what I have read there are ( 3 ) different engine blocks for the 4.0 liter Ford EFI engine ( Over Head Valve / pushrod design engine ) ( 1991 to 1994 ) ( 1995 and 1996 ) ( 1997 to 2000 )
I'm not a mechanic / technician but I believe the answer is ( NO ) From what I have read , there are ( 3 ) different engine blocks for the Ford 4.0 liter EFI , V6 engine ( which is an Over Head Valve / pushrod design ) up to 1994 models 1995 and 1996 1997 to 2000 * also , starting with the 1995 model of Ford Explorer , the AUTOMATIC transmissions were ELECTRONICALLY controlled
I'm not a mechanic / technician but from what I have read the answer would be ( no ) Apparently there have been three different engine blocks ( 1990 to 1994 ) , ( 1995 + 1996 ) ( 1997 to 2000 ) for the Ford 4.0 liter pushrod V6
I'm not a mechanic / technician but I don't think so From what I have read there are ( 3 ) different engine blocks for the Ford 4.0 liter OHV / pushrod style V6 engine used in a Ford Explorer ( 1991 to 1994 models ) ( 1995 and 1996 models ) ( 1997 to 2000 models )
