A specific O-sensor socket with a slit in the side is used to install the sensor without damaging the wires. If you are not keeping the old O-sensor wires intact then use a regular deep-set 7/8in socket to remove the sensor if the slit-socket spreads to much to remove it. Just cut the wires off so the regular socket fits over the sensor. Fun, Huh?
