- Just HOW do you classify "largest airport" - is it physical size of the field ? If so the largest is Denver at 34,000 acres, with Dallas Fort Worth at second with 18,000 acres.

If you classify by passenger movements, first is Hartsfield international at Atlanta, followed by Chicago O'Hare

If you classify it by total tonnage of cargo in/out first is Memphis (home of Fed Ex) closely followed by Anchorage, Alaska.
