Some models had the option for "Computer Controlled Ride". In the computer system there is a BCM (Body Control Modual) That monitors data from the load leveling sensors and transmission speed sensors. Using this data the computer can adjust the air pressure in the struts to one three settings based on the condtions.I recently bought a 91 STS and found that it does not have this option. It does although, have the load leveling air shocks in the rear.Although a very nice option to have the CCR struts are no longer manufactured by Cadillac. There are articles on the Cadillac forums that claim that GM air adjustable shocks will work on the Cadillac. Check with your mechanic.Standard struts can be a more affordable replacement replacement. Be aware that there is a process discussed in the forums that you will need to go through in order to disable the CCR functions in the computer or you will be stuck with CCR system faliure warning.
