On most integrated motherboards since 2006, the color varies from either yellow or orange.
Use orange instead of yellow. This is because yellow is common for composite video signal.
The S/PDIF port is used to connect the graphic card to the motherboard in order to get sound in some systems.
An SPDIF port is digital audio port. It provides stereo or compressed surround audio by way of coaxial or optical communication.
SPDIF can carry stereo (2 channels) of audio.
A S/PDIF (Sony-Phillips Digital Interface) sound port connects to an external home theater audio system, providing digital output and the best signal quality.
Sorry no good answer yet.
Sony/Philips Digital Interface. Provides digital output and the best signal quality. Connects to an external home theater audio system.
It's not straightforward to convert between SPDIF and a stereo pair of RCA plugs. SPDIF is a digital standard (SPDIF is an acronym for Sony Philips Digital Interface) and a pair of RCA plugs is analogue. It is possible to buy adaptors that convert from one to the other; if you search for SPDIF to analogue (or analog) convertor with google, you'll find a selection.
The color of the sound port is green (3.5mm jack)
spdif is a digital audio Output, Certain a/v receivers may offer this type of connection, however if your using HDMI for audio, then their probably wont be much benefit. an RS232 port is generaly used either for software updates and servicing, or for external control of the unit via a 3rd party control system.
SPDIF is a type of digital audio connection. If you hook that up to a port on the AV receiver make sure it is marked "digital/coax", PCM etc....the connection will be orange in color, just like the output on the cable box. Now make sure your AV receiver is told what type of audio to look for on that particular input and make sure your cable box is told what type of audio to put out, not always necessary but would be in the set-up menu if needed.
OK. Allready solved the problem. As spdif cable is an optical, so laser goest thru that, it's really impossible to connect it with just some jack...
The speaker port is usually green and the microphone port is pink.
