Where did the emerald ash borer come from?

There are two types of stingless wasps that lay eggs in the larvae of emerald ash borer. Currently these wasps are being used to control the spread of eab especially in areas where chemical controls and removal of infested trees are difficult. Additionaly, woodpeckers eat the larvae. In fact this is a good way to tell if you tree is infested with eab. The woodpeckers go crazy trying to find fresh larvae to eat, and expose their feeding galleries.
