Well, where I live which is in rural England, Police carry ASP Extendable batons, pepper spray and wear stab-proof vests (optional). There is the Armed Response Unit which responds to an incident involving a firearm. They carry Glock 17s and MP5s. It varies depending on which Police force. On the news it may seem that the English Police are brutal, but, in my opinion, that's good. We need a safe and secured community, with police who deter criminals and keep them off the streets. I hope this helped. For more information on the Police force I described, type 'Thames Valley Police' on Google or Bing, etc.
