THE FAIRIES' SIEGE is a poem about a faithful old warrior who surrenders his master's castle "the Herald of God," "the Dreamer whose dreamd come true!"
Kipling may have intended it as a metaphor for the need of imagination in science and research.

"The Fairies Siege" is a short story written by Rudyard Kipling. It is a whimsical tale that follows a group of fairies as they plot to take revenge on a man who has disturbed their peace. The story explores themes of nature, magic, and the consequences of human actions on the natural world.
