not enough information has been given to answer this question. there are two variables: flow rate - expressed in gallons/minute (gpm) and pressure expressed in pounds per square inch (psi). depending on how it's set up, a 1 hp pump could move a little bit of water very far and fast (low gpm/high psi) - like a pressure washer... or it could move a lot of water, but not with great pressure (like a sewage pump)

Is a pool pump motor drawing half the amps listed on its nameplate a problem with the windings?

A pool pump motor which is drawing half the amps listed on its nameplate can indicate a problem with the windings or a lack of incoming current. Pumps will only draw as many amps as are required to operate under the current load.

How many amps does a Hayward 1 Hp Pool Pump Motor use?

1 HP = 745.70 wattsPower (watts) = Current (amps) x VoltsSo if you use a 110 volt system, amps = 745.7/110 = 6.779 ampsIf you use a 220 volt system, amps = 745.7/220 = 3.389 ampsFor a 12 volt system, amps = 745.7/12 = 62.142 amps

How many amps does a 1.0hp pool pump pull?

One horsepower is equivalent to 746 watts. So if the motor is wired for 220 volts the current consumed is 3.39 amps. (watts divided by voltage = current) so? the label says 7.6 amps for a 1hp with a SF of 1.25 at 240 volts. 9.6 for a 1.5 hp .this is your typical pool pump motor, what motor are you getting data from ?

Pump 120 volt comsume more than pump at240 volts?

Not necessarily it all depends on how many amps it draws.

How many solar panels amps volt to run a 110v pool pump?

Solar panels produce DC voltages. I presume that your pool pump uses 120 volts AC. Find the amperage of the pump. Find out what the output current of a single solar cell produces. Divide this into the pump amperage. If the output voltage is 12 VDC then you will need at least 10 cells to start. The total current of these 10 cells will have to be greater that the pump motor nameplate. Now you will have to purchase an inverter to change the DC to AC.

With a centrifugal pump what will a blockage in the discharge or suction side do to the pump amps?

A blockage in the downstream side of the pump could make this pump work harder raising the amps as the pump now has to do more work to get through the line. An upstream blockage would make the pump spin more freely lowering the amps on the pump as it will not be doing any work.

Where is the water pump located on a 15HP mercury outboard?

The 15 horsepower Mercury outboard motor does not have a water pump. The outboard motor is air cooled and does not have a need for circulating water.

How many amps does a 1998 ford fuel pump use?

The factory pump uses 6 to 9 amps depending on the condition of the pump. A worn pump uses more power of course. I don't know what problems if any you are having but if you blow a 10amp fuse then change the fuel filter, a pluged filter will make your pump work much harder. Still blows? Then time for a new pump. Aftermarket pumps such as a Walbro pulls almost 15 amps.

How many amps should a 220 volt well pump pull?
