GM did not invent the air bag. It was invented by American John Hetrick in 1953 while in the U.S. Navy. It used compressed air. The modern air bag system was invented by a Japanese named Yasubaburou Kobori in 1963. Ford was the first American auto company to install air bags and they did it in 1971 followed by Chevrolet in 1973. GM was the first company to make the air bag system standard on it's vehicles.

It is not recommended for anyone to attempt doing that, if you are trying to increase HP through an aftermarket air intake system, I recomend contacting your local dealer to purchase a specially made (GM) perfomance air intake system.
I think GM uses a private firm to do their security but I'M NOT SURE .
I have an 2003 Bravada and there is no way to turn the air bags off You CANNOT turn the air bag system off. You may be able to turn the passenger air bag off. Check with a GM dealer or the owner's manual.

GM navigation system is one of many navigation systems. As far as quality is is just as good as others. It's a mater of preference for what you desire.
IF no more freon will go into the system, that means the pressure is higher in the system than what is in the can. If it is still not cooling, you may need to have the system evacuated and recharged to ensure you have the exact amount of refrigerant the system requires to cool at its best.
