This is a method used to copy cells. First select the cells you want. Then put the mouse pointer on any point around the edge of the selected cells. Then press and hold the CTRL key. A small + will appear above the mouse. If you then start to drag to a new location, stop and then let go of the CTRL key, your cells will be copied to the new location. Using Ctrl with the mouse can be used in other applications to copy things too.
