There is not a recommended daily amount for grain consumption; there is one for carbs and one for fibre, both of which can come from grains, but can equally come from fruit, vegetables or pulses.
You are supposed to have 6 ounces a day three of it being whole grains. This is based on a 1800 calorie diet.
