the sheiffen plan was issued by the German military commander Von Shleiffen. It dictated the movement of 90% of germanys troops to go through Belgium to get to France while leaving 10% to guard the German-Russian border.
But alot of assumptions where made,
During ww1; Britain would stay neutral, NO they dispatched the BEF and held back the Germans for longer than they anticipated
Russia would take 6 monts the obolize a army, NO only 10 days
France would be taken in 6 weeks, No i would of taken them over 4 years
belgium would be over run
