Florida law as of Mar. 03, 2011 requires that windshields be replaced, with no deductible, for policys that include comprehensive coverage.
Policies without comprehensive coverage are excluded from this law, so minumum required coverage will not pay for replacement.
Added: Unsure about the 'new' law but the old regulation stated that as long as the area in front of the drivers vision was undamaged, it was legal. You may want to call and check on that though.
