The Zambezi is a river in Africa, actually the 4th longest on that continent. It begins in the country of Zambia and flows about 1,600 miles (2,574 km) into the Indian ocean. It ranges in width from rather narrow at the start in the watershed on the Zambia/Congo border to as much as 16 miles at its widest (not counting the man-made lakes it flows through). It also features the world's largest waterfalls, known as Victoria Falls.
