nothing at all
the venation of the plant mostly depend on the roots if a plant has fibrous roots the venation will be parallel, but if the plant has tap root the venation will bereticulate and since gram has tap root it maybe having reticulate venation.
plants having reticulate venation have broad leaves
1.The monocot leaves are identical on both sides (isobilateral) where as dicot leaves are dorsiventral (i. e. having palisade cells on the upper side and spongy parenchyma on the lower side). 2. Monocot leaves generally have parallel venation and dicot leaves have reticulate venation.

In general, the monocot leaf resembles the dicot leaf with the monocot having parallel venation and the dicots having a netted format. The part of leaf attached to the stem is the leaf base which expands into a sheath (sheathing base). The leaves are upright and both the sides are equally exposed to sunlight (isobilateral). Most of the monocots do not have a petiole.
Digitalis is a plant that falls under the classification of flowering plants known as dicots or dicotyledons. Dicots are characterized by having seeds with two embryonic leaves, or cotyledons, and other specific structural features.
