As things may be different from state to state I suggest contacting a local lawyer, if unionized talk to your union rep. You could also contact the Department of Labor or OSHA if safety related. If your boss is not listening you could always go to his boss (if he is not the head boss anyway), and you can stand behind the whistleblower act, if you afraid of reprisals. Document the problem as it continues to happen. Just keep a notebook handy and write down each event. If you can find one ally, have them do the same. Make sure your complaint is logged in written format somewhere so that when the issue erupts you have proof you tried to help alleviate the problem.
