The ideal body fat percentage for females is 25% (the midrange "norm"), with a window for "acceptable/good" of 21% to 32.9%, for all ages 39 and under. Over 40, the range shifts upwards by a few percentage points, but not much. For males, the midrange is 15%, with a similar type window.
The best thing is to find your BMI (body mass index) which will tell you if you are over weight, underweight or a healthy weight.
