Most railcars for general use are either 11,000 gallons, 20,000 gallons or 23,000 gallons (in the U.S. anyway). There are many other sizes, though, and when you start getting into unique products (ie: cryogenic, molten metals, high pressure, acids, etc), you start getting into different sizes.

I have a 2011 Mustang and it has a 16 gallon tank.
17 gallons is about average for a mid-sized car.
It all depends on the car. You can look at the owners manual and you will see.
The average fuel tank size for mid-size cars is 16 gallons. If the price of gas was $3.59 per gallon, it would cost $57.44 to fill a 16 gallon tank.
Tank size for that car is 15.90 gallons.
The Capacity of a cars petrol tank varies on different cars, try googling the car model or Car brand, model, year HERE! then tank size or something, hope i helped :) Reece
the average size of a car is: 6 meters, 73 center meters
All tank cars vary in size try to Google the car you are asking about.
There is no average size. The tank will give a range between 90 and 200 miles but it is all down to the manufacturer and the model, engine size and usage.
8.7 gallons
When owning a car, a person should know the gas tank size of the car. The 1997 Nissan truck has a gas tank size of 15.9 gallons.
