Mine got around 18 miles per gallon when I bought it at 90K miles. It now has around 200K miles and I'm lucky to get 15mpg. It is a 4x4.
The 2006 Honda Ridgeline gets approximately 21 miles per gallon of fuel on the highway. It gets 16 miles per gallon in the city. This is roughly average for a 4x4.

According to the website www.fueleconomy.gov a 2002 Ford Explorer,4x4, with the 4.6 L V 8 and 5 speed automatic gets 13 miles per gallon in the city, and gets 17 miles per gallon on the highway this is using the U. S. gallon
