Answer . According to the Roanoke College C&E News Summary of March 29, 1999:. "Who has ever seriously considered what goes in to making baseballs? To Rawlings, this knowledge is excrutiatingly important. Today, instructiouns call for a cork nucleus that weighs exactly 0.5 oz and is 2.86 to 2.…94 inches in diameter. It is to be incased in two thin rubber layers - one black, one red - and weigh a total of 7/8 oz. This nucleus is then machine-wound under high, consistent tension with 121 yards of four-ply blue-gray wool, 45 yards of three-ply white wool yarn, 53 more yards of three-ply blue-gray wool yarn and 150 yards of fine white polyester-cotton blend yarn. THis is coated with rubber cement before the cover is put on. The cover consistes of two pieces of elongated figure-eight-shaped white cowhide, dampened to permit strething, which is then handstiched together with 216 raised stitches, using 88 inches of red cotton thread. Finally, the ball is rolled for 15 seconds while still slightly damp so the seams are even and reasonable flat. At this point, the balls are still not ready for the big league. Balls are selected at random from each shipment and shot from an air cannon at 85 feet per second at a wall made of northern white ash (the wood used to make bats). Each tested ball must bounce back at between 0.514 and 0.578 of its original speed to be suitably lively for Major League Baseball." ( Full Answer )

Bachelor's degrees are 4 years in length. Most students take 4 years to complete them although it is not uncommon to finish in as little as 3 years or as many as 5. The above is a general answer, but statistics from the College Board tell us that the average time to earn a bachelor's degree is 4.…7 years (2008). So the trend is toward 5 years. Disturbingly, only 57% of those who start a 4 year degree finish within six years - so the above data does not count those who don't finish their degree. ( Full Answer )

Answer . There are no statistics for this, but the average would be a day to a week for more for the possibilities of finding your pet. However, don't give up yet!. I had a male Min Pin that went missing for over a month. I was so heartbroken and one night when I was visiting with a friend a scr…atch came to my door and there he was all smelly and sassy. He had been running around with a pack of dogs! He was so smelly I immediately had to give him a bath. All I can think of is he had a taste of the wild side. LOL. Put up posters on lamp standards; in vet's office (they have a bulletin board); in some grocery stores (ask permission first); haunt the Animal Shelters and ASPCA. DON'T PHONE! Often Animal Shelters and the ASPCA are so busy they could well overlook your dog. Go every single day to check it out. Go to parks or trails you may have taken your dog to.. I have read stories where dogs have been missing for 6 months or more and make their way home. Sometimes people take the pet in as their own or to at least feed them. You dog may well be in Foster Care (people that take dogs in until they are adopted out.) One heart warming story was a family camping and their beloved dog (approx., 14 years old) went missing. The family hunted for the dog but eventually had to give up and go home. They did advertise and even managed to get it on TV (at the end of the news) and lo and behold a trucker had picked the dog up. Oh, this is not the rest of the story! A whole chain of truckers took turns giving that old dog a free ride, lots of good food, love and companionship until they could eventually get the last truck to take the dog home to the owners. It was splashed all over the news. It send shivers down one's back and sure put tears in my eyes!. Wait a few months before you decide to get another pet and keep your eyes open for your pet. See if a TV station will put a picture of your dog on the news (many TV news stations love to help with a little up beat news) and you may get lucky.. Good luck! ( Full Answer )

It has dropped over the years and that trend continues. In today's US society it is less then 72 hours. About six hours of that time is spent checking your insurance documents, medical history and finding you a bed. Even worse, it seems that the check-out time requires a minimum of six hours from th…e Doctor's Release to the front door.. Check In and Check Out for 12 hours. . Tests and waiting on a gurney in the hallway for 12 hours. . Sleep, interupted periodically for meds and tests for 12 hours. . Treatment and surgery no more then two hours. . Dining on Nutritious Hospital cuisine for two hours. . Post-operative treatment and therapy for two hours. . Noise, confusion, chaos and boredom for 30 hours, and finally home. . And try that in a Veterans Hospital Facility and you can expect less care, comfort and concern, (not for lack of trying, but for a lack of staff to patient ratio), increased beuracrcy and a ten fold increase in chaos an confusion. The US continues to have the finest, most poorly served and most expensive medical system on earth. It works for the wealthy, exploits the middle class and restricts the poor from basic health care. The saying goes "A stitch in time saves nine." It is a sewing reference and pays tribute to the Puritan work ethic. This is the situation: if a shirt or pair of pants needs mending, it is better to mend the hole quickly (resulting in fewer stitches) than waiting and the hole requiring more stitches.… So, a stitch in time saves nine. In other words, don't procrastinate. ( Full Answer )

No, there is no proven connection between the length of a man's penis and the length of any other part of his body. In the past people have also mused that a man's penis might be related to the size of his feet or the length of his nose but there is no scientific basis for any of these "theories."
Well this one took almost three months! I guess it realy depends on 1) What the question is, and 2) How long passes before someone who can answer it actually spots it. It is all very variable, I often look at Most-recent questions and answer some within seconds of them being asked. I also look throu…gh categories that I am interested in and often take pity on questions which have languished unanswered for months or even years. Stitch length is going to depend greatly on the fabric. You are going to use a longer stitch length on denim than you are on chiffon. That is why it is important to test and adjust your stitch length on a scrap of fabric before you begin sewing your project.
The associates degree is designed as a two year program of study as a full-time student provided the student takes the degree as prescribed by the college, and provided the student does not require prerequisite coursework as a result of basic skills testing. There are some programs of study that may… take a bit longer depending on the number of credits required. Usually these are programs within the health related fields. In addition, for students who require developmental course work as a result of basic skills testing, it would take longer. How much longer would depend on the extent of the developmental courses they are required to take. Evidently, those individuals who attend college on a part-time based would also extend their time in school. How much longer would depend on the credit load carried each semester . Typically, an associates degree takes between 60 and 64 credits to complete depending on the specific school, program of study, and state mandates. ( Full Answer )
A bachelor's degree in most areas can require between 120 to 128 college credits particular to a specific program of study. This would be based on a college or university that operates on a regular two semester academic year which is the most common. For institutions that operate on a tri-semester… or quarter-semester it would be quite different. That being said, the Bachelor's degree - in most cases - is designed as a four year program of study , provided the student is full-time and follows their chosen program of study as prescribed by the college or university, and also provided the individual does not require prerequisite or developmental coursework as a result of basic skills testing. The minimum credit load for a full-time student is no less than 12 credits per semester. However, to complete the degree within the four years, a credit load of approximately 15 to 18 credits is recommended. For individuals who work or who have other responsibilities that would prohibit them from attending full-time, completion of the degree may take twice as long. Still, some of this time can be cut down by attending summer sessions and/or interim sessions. In addition, the bachelors and associate degrees are referred to as undergraduate degrees while the masters and doctorate degrees referred to as graduate degrees. ( Full Answer )

At any time a person can decide to live longer by following a healthy lifestyle. It is supposed that 80 years old constitute the so-called "the barrier of the 80's." Music is a form of art. There is no set time limit for any kind of music; rather, it is for the composer to decide how long a piece of music will be. For some pieces of music, a long duration can leave a person yawning, therefore a shorter duration may be necessary. It all depends on what the compos…er has in mind, and what the piece of music is trying to "say." Of course, this is in terms of the 21st century. Centuries ago, the time limit was a bit more strict and precise for most composers, depending on who you were performing for. Generally, it would be rash to compose large pieces for the court, because they often grew tiresome and restless of large, gargantuan pieces. So, all in all, it all depends on the composer, the audience, and the song. And yet, despite this, music has no boundaries. ( Full Answer )

Homelessness follows a "power law" curve. The vast, vast majority of people who experience homelessness are homeless for a few days, maybe a week or two. This usually occurs in between moving apartments, getting kicked out after a breakup, getting evicted, etc. The problem with these people is tha…t they tend to be invisible - either they can couch surf with friends, or they stay in a shelter one night or two, and nobody really knows they were there. When people go around and count all the homeless people, these are the ones that get missed. On the other hand, there are some people who are homeless for 6 months, 1 year, 10 years. These are the chronically homeless, who - while few in numbers - are the ones that use all of the resources. They spend a lot of time in shelters, they go to food banks and soup kitchens every day, they take up a lot of time in case workers, they end up going to the emergency room and spending time in detox. These people can cost a city up to a million dollars per year, EACH (through using expensive services like ambulances, ER, and police custody). The people who are chronically homeless skew the average for "average length of time a person is homeless." It's hard to say for sure, but the average length of time someone is homeless is about 1 week. Probably three quarters of everyone who becomes homeless is homeless for 6 weeks, and about 95% are homeless for less than 6 months. ( Full Answer )

I like sewing 12 to 14 stitches per inch. The reason being, when you have to take out stitching ( and at some point you will ! ) they are not so close, that it becomes an impossibility. Also, the stitches are close enough together, that when you are strip quilting, your work is not going to come a…part when you cut your pieces. The setting on most machines is 2 or 2.5. Sew on a scrap piece and count how many stitches you sewed in 1 inch. Adjust accordingly. ( Full Answer )
