It really depends on the game if you go into the store and buy Halo: Reach then a week later decide "I dont like this" the game itself is still pretty popular and they will give you usually 10-15% of what it is worth but they do have specials if you sign up for a game stop card you will get 15-20% of what its worth plus special promotions that they are doing sent via email. if a new game is coming out that is in a series they will usually let you trade the game in for a pretty good price if it is towards the purchase of that new game. but seriously dont expect $40 from one or two games ex. I traded in all my games that I never play witch was about 60-70 games from various systems and I was able to buy an Xbox 360 60gb. it also depends on the systems popularity, at the peak of the wii's popularity "excite truck" was worth $10 for a trade in
Although there have been recently released games, GameStop has to make a profit for traded ones to be able to be resold. It is average 40 to 60 percent of the original price.
It depends what the games are and each Gamestop varies. Call your local Gamestop and ask.
