Environmental pollution is reaching worrying proportions worldwide. Urbanization and industrialization along with economic development have led to increase in energy consumption and waste discharges. The global environmental pollution, including greenhouse gas emissions, acid deposition as well as water pollution and waste management is-considered as international public health problems. This phenomenon should be-investigated from multiple perspectives including social, economic, legislation, and environmental engineering systems, as well as lifestyle habits helping health promotion and strengthening environmental systems to resist contamination (N. T Youx, T. S. Su, and S. M Hassan, 2011).

Land pollution has become one of the environmental major health problem around the globe with its peak in the developing countries. It occurs when individuals neglect to handle their waste befittingly and leave it to pollute the land. Progressively, the pollution deteriorates the quality of the land surface where waste is present causing diseases to humans, animals and reducing the capacity to support ecosystem and various life forms.

According to the Guardian news media (2019), mismanaged waste causes hundreds of thousands of people to die each year in the developing world.
