The best groups come from 90 grain Winchester positive expanding points out of my sendero.. The wost groups come from Winchester supreme ballistic tip 120 grains, The 25-06 is a great caliber, but my gun is very picky. Groups average 1in for the 90 grains upto 6 inches from the 125 grain.. very picky gun!!!
I agree with the information above but consider this... Any two rifles are not the same and usually do not shoot the same. Did you lap your barrel? If factory ammunition doesn't get it for you, I am sure you can find a hand load that will send your 25 into dime size groups out of any (most) factory barrels. The variables are limitless.... reloading is a sport into its self... perhaps for more than off-season entertainment. If you start experimenting be sure to use recipes from a published loading manual. If you deviate from the manual you will be messing with unknown pressures. Under certain circumstances, using less powder can increase chamber pressure.
Remington .270, 150 grain.
The R-15 uses SAAMI .223 Remington chambers and is not recommended for use with 5.56 ammo. Stick with commercial .223 and you'll be fine.
Winchester made some that did. Remington also, IIRC.
depends on the use. Hunting? paper or home protection? Federal Winchester or Remington make ammo for this. There are surplus ammo you can find at a lower price them commercial hunting or match ammo. Make sure the surplus ammo does not have corrosive primers.
.22 WRF or .22 Remington Special
There are varying opinions on what ammo is the "best." Generally speaking, the best ammo to use is whichever ammo is the most reliable in your particular gun.
Yes, but 5.56 ammo should not be used in a .223 Remington chamber.
Remington makes a variety of rifles and shotguns using various sizes of ammunition.
Around 50 different calibers, anything from a .17 Rem to a 458 Winchester mag.
Honestly, you really can't any expect any two guns to have the same preference insofar as ammo goes. I like to use the Remington Subsonic, personally, but others haven't had the best experience with it.
Best would depend on intended use. Federal makes good 30-06 ammo. Soft point for hunting, FMJ for target use.
