This depends on what type of parasites you're asking about. For fleas and ticks I would recommend either Frontline or Revolution. Both are liquid topical monthly medications to get rid of existing fleas and tick and to prevent any further infestation. Do not use dog flea-and-tick products on cats as they could contain ingredients known as pyrethrins which, while completely safe for dogs, frequently cause incurable seizures and neurological damage in cats. Heartworms are an internal parasite most commonly found in dogs though cats can get them too. Starting out as tiny (can only be seen under a microscope) larvae in the blood they find their way to the animals heart where they develope into heart-clogging worms almost as thick as pencils. This can be prevented easily with a monthly dose of Heartgard, available through your veterinarian. For intestinal parasites, the treatment depends on the type of parasite you're dealing with. Check with your veterinarian to have a fecal exam done to determine what you're dealing with.

Yes dogs are the best. Some people like cats but dogs are way better they are loyal, they can do jobs like being i eye seeing dog of the blind and a police and many more, they can go for walks, they are a man best friend, they are playful and they can do a lot more stuff then cats and less people are allergic to dogs then cats
Dogs have the best noses, followed by cats. Humans occupy a distant 3rd place in the "by a nose" category.
