I have studied many books and written many reviews on personal development, achievement and goal setting. Most of them have similar formats and instructions. Very few of them actually stand out. However, there is one that particularly stands out as one of the better books and most practical for goal setting. While I am apprehensive to label anything as being the best I must confess that this is the best book I have come across so far.
It is called Guerrilla Achiever.
The reason I believe it is the best is simply because the information is fresh, applicable and relevant. The studies Douglas Vermeeren has conducted on the world's top achievers is fascinating. Not since the days of Napoleon Hill has anyone ever done such a remarkable job of cataloging success in a way that it can be duplicated by others. The book itself is filled with exercises, questions and insights that will help you recognize what you are doing right and what needs to be done better. I also enjoyed very much the brief history Vermeeren gives at the beginning of the book that describes where many of the false ideas that we embrace today came from. If you are looking to become a more successful achiever and you have goals you are trying to reach, whether in business or in your personal life this is the book for you.
