When my sister had her golden birthday, She got Tickets to go see Taylor Swift in concert. So if your looking for something to get someone for their golden birthday, look into things they enjoy and get them something a little more expensive then you would get them for their birthday. If your son/daughter likes a band, get them tickets to a concert. If they are into computers, maybe a new computer. The idea is to just get them something special.

When considering gifts for the 50th anniversary, think twice before purchasing anniversary plates, jewelry, knick knacks, etc. as many senior citizens are trying to reduce clutter and possessions in their lives. A dinner at a special restaurant, a trip, coupons to help with chores, etc. will probably be more appreciated.
