look for "335" style Guitars. Jazz guitars are almost always hollow body because they are sort of blend of the clean and clear acoustic guitars and the mellow warm tone of the Electric Guitar. The better jazz guitars are usually going to be bigger "arch top" boxes and wont translate to rock well at all. The will just feedback at loud volumes. the 335 style based on the famous Gibson 335 is a thin hollow body that is thin enough to not feed back at loud volumes so you can rock out, but you can also play some clean mellow jazz with it. So short answer thin hollowbody.
