What is the best motorcycle?

Here are your catagories. it also depends on year. I will list in order of best to last1.Speed or Drag strip- (ZX14, Hayabusa these two can go either way) ZX12), optional zx10, GSXR1000,

2. Track-2008 models Honda cbr1000RR, ZX10, the new BMW 1000, 2009 zx6

3. Street- 2008 CBR1000RR, zx10, gsxr1000, 2009 zx6r, gsxr600, cbr600

4. Sport touring-For comfort ST1300 its like a mini Goldwing, Speed Concours14, looks FJR1300 stay away from BMW K1200s to expensive. And pain in the azz to service.

5. Touring- Hands down Victory Vision or the Goldwing, Roadking fulldress, Just think of comfort because your going to spend a lot of damn time on the rode. performance is out. Just enjow the open road.

Used in their proper category these bike will perform and last the most.

Those are mostly new bikes.

For older bikes the list is pretty long. '

I would stay away from Yamaha because I have never been satisfied with any of there bikes except the VMAX. Sorry I bleed Kawasaki green only because I have been riding them for over 12 years and they don't disappoint.
