Can Pikachu beat a steelix from the elite 4 in leafgreen?
I doubt it considering Steelix is a Steel and Ground type. Since it is a Ground type, none of Pikachu's electric attacks will affect him. Although if you were to train Pikachu up to level 75+, and teach it a move like Brick Break, which is a fighting move, then you have a chance. And if my memory serves me correctly, Steelix knows earthquake. Which will KO Pikachu pretty quickly. Pikachu (electric types in general) stand up poorly to ground moves. And considering Pikachu doesn't have the best defense stat to begin with, I bet he wouldn't fair well against Steelix. If Pikachu DID in fact know the move Brick Break, or another type of fighting move, you would have to be patient, because Steelix has a defense stat that's off the chart. If you are going to attempt it I'd pack a bunch of hyper potions and revives. If your Pikachu is 90+ you stand a fair chance. Only if your pikachu knows a move that is super effective against Steelix. Otherwise, Pikachu is toast. Good luck battling. ^^
