I think Bosch are very good and not that expensive.
ANS 2 - I have used all kinds of power tools for the past 40 years and sincerely believe that NO single company has a 'lock' on all the best tools ! - I still have one of Skilsaws original all metal saws - still runs like a dream, one change of brushes. -My best two drills are a Milwaukee1/2 inch and a 30 Year old DeWalt Industrial, - my best mitre saw is an Elu (Switzerland) - Bosch makes my best sabre saw, Makita makes the best heavy duty angle grinder, and Hitachi makes my best large router, Porter Cable makes the best small router. Proto makes my favorite and strongest socket set (made before Stanley bought them ! )
