1st of all a 13 year isn't suppose To be using Tampons. Tampons are fit sexual active women. There are to many risk of TSS toxic Shock Syndrome ! Y wld u want to put a tampon on a 13 yr old & mess up her system b4 she becomes grown, how dumb can u be! She needs to use pads until she's abt 18 & sexually active!! Smfh !! CPS needs to be called immediately.

Consider safer options like sanitary pads, menstrual cups, or softcups instead of tampons.

If you still want to use tampons opt for ORGANIC COTTON TAMPONS - these pose lower risk of Toxic Shock Syndrome, also lower risk of vaginal infections, don't contain dioxin, and are hypo-allergenic - brands such as Emerita, Veeda, Cottons, Natracare, Maxim, or Seventh Generation. Always use lowest absorbency - if the tampon leaks within 1-2 hours it's okay to use the next absorbency up, but if the tampon isn't saturated in blood after 4-6 hours use lower absorbency.

Tampons are NOT just for sexually active women - sex does not change your vagina in any way, so no reason why tampons wouldn't be suitable for virgins but suitable for sexually active women.
