Don't get a pit bull, or any dangerous dog. Also, with children around, don't get a dog that is under ten pounds. I recommend the poodle, they do not shed, are hypoallergenic, and if you get a miniture, they are the perfect size for children. I have had two, and they are just amazing, and are very sturdy and sweet. They do not bark a lot despite their reputation. I hope you rescue yours from a shelter! Those dogs are so sweet :) I work at the animal shelter, so listen to me when I say that getting a poodle is the way to go!
well for a 10 year old i am saying probably boxer, jackrussle but whatever dog you get dont get a Dalmatian or pitbull
Labrador Retreivers are fantastic dogs for kids of any age, especially 10-12. They are playful and fun but not dangerous.
an invisible dog
well it can it may teach him/her responceabiltes however if he/she hurts the dog give the dog to a good loving family yes it can teach responsiblty but if you do get a dog you should defintely not haras it, tease it, beat it or not feed it so if a little kid under 10 has it defintely have a parent to help and even if your older like 12 you should defitely have a parent help.

They'll protect you and they are more playful, but this depends on what type of dog you get. For example: if you have a kid, dont get a pit bull because they are the most dangerous type of dog
