Engineering is very suitable for girls. Humans are not limited by gender. Queens University, a very good engineering school in Canada, has many female engineering alumni. There still exists a gender gap in this scientific field but that is because of archaic bias's perpetuated by a once totally male dominated profession.

There are many options to study petroleum engineering in Canada. One place is the BCIT, Brittish Columbia Institute of Technology. They offer degree and diploma programs. Another option is UBC, Univeristy of Brittish Columbia.

I would say yes. As a student at Memorial University, I can honestly say that MUN has an excellent Engineering Department. Plus, we have one of the cheapest tuition rates in all of Canada :)
