drain all coolant from system. flush with water until clean water is comming out of engine. fill rad with water and run engine up to temp. this should help remove the antifreeze from the engine. drain water out and run water through system again until clean. add new coolant to system. should be good. use garden hose to flush out system
It would be best to disconnect the coolant lines and flush the core after the radiator flush. This will clear any sediment from the core.
It is best to have it done professionally as they clean the cooling system as well as back flush it.
Auto parts stores sell coolant flush kits some are just a chemical you add to water after draining the old coolant. The other uses your garden hose fitting you install to flush the system after you drain the old coolant. I personally use the second method.
It would be best to go to bgfindashop.com and get a repair shop to do it for you. With the BG flush there is a cleaner put in and then the system is back flushed. The new coolant is added with a rust inhibitor.
The best way is to use a coolant flush machine, as it takes fluid out, it puts back in the same amount. This way the system does not get air bound.
"Nut" means 'best possible' so the "nut flush" would be the best possible flush.
call or check on line local garages and car dealerships to see who is offering the best deals and what all comes with it.if you know someone who can tell you if its the coolant leaking that would be great than you know what the problem is ahead of time and you will not have a service cost on top of the replacement of the coolant
on the 98 camry the best coolant to use is zerex asian vehicle blend but any silicate free coolant is good do not use dex-cool dex-cool will destroy the cooling system
its best to take it to a gm dealer, the dex-cool antifreeze leaves a lot of gunk make sure to have them flush the entire system.
You will probably never get it all out without the aid of a transmission flush machine. Any fluid left behind will destroy the transmission in a short time. I recommend not driving the vehicle! Have it towed to a garage that can perform that service and hope for the best.
A straight flush is the second best hand.
Could have a blockage in the heater core. Or simply need a coolant flush or another item. To be safe I suggest you shop around for the best price to get it fixed.
