I always liked Midol, but if you watch your sugar, caffeine intake before you period starts it can help you with the PMS and the cramps. Also when those start drink some hot tea, put a heating pad on your tummy, and relax. This works. The pill can also help with PMS and cramps.

Luckily they just last a few days. To relieve cramps, take walks or other light exercise. A few days before your expected period, start taking tylenol or ibuprofen or something like that: helps affect the prostoglandans that cause cramps. You may also find some relief by using a heating pad or ice.

The best medicine for menstrual cramps is PREVENTATIVE medicine, rather preventative measures such as a healthy lifestyle and diet - menstrual cramps are not a normal part of healthy menstruation, look into how to prevent them or see your doctor. If you do get menstrual cramps it's best to use non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as Ibuprofen.

Feminax available from all good retailers.

Pamprin works good too.

Most girls I interviewed on numerous surveys said that Ibuprofen such as Advil and Motrin worked better.
