St James the son of Zebedee - called incorrectly the Greater - (the apostles have not given him this name) - was born circa 1 A.D.

Ref: James' Apocalypse: Mary wife of Zebedee, tells James both he and Jesus were nourished with the same milk when they were babes, in explaining why Jesus had addressed her as mother. They were very close in age.

(Clan women shared mothering of children often, due to other duties of that era requiring their time.)
