If you are referring to the wheel lug pattern the answer is 5 on 4 3/4".

The "5" designating the number of lug holes and the "4 3/4" designating the measurement in inches from the center on a lug stud, then skipping a stud, to the outside edge of another stud.

This is the same bolt pattern Chevrolet started using back in 1949 on their passenger cars and was used on the full sized passenger cars until 1971 when they went to a 5 on 5" pattern on the full sized cars.

Then in 1977 they reverted back to the 5 on 4 3/4" pattern on the full sized cars with the exception of station wagons which some had the 5 on 5" pattern.

NOTE; I don't know the bolt pattern of the "newer", rounded body style of the RWD full sized platform.

The Camaro used the 5 on 4 3/4" from it's introduction thru at least the 3rd generation. I don't know what the new Camaro pattern is.

If the 1988 GMC Jimmy in question is 4 wheel drive then it is possible to use wheels from a 2 wheel drive, though the wheel/tire combination will stick out further away from the hub and make the combination stick out further from the body. While this make work, it's not really recommended as the extra leverage on the front wheel bearing assembly can cause premature wear. Plus there may be tire to fender rubbing because of the different offset of the wheel.
