Leeds is the third largest city in the United Kingdom’s popular Yorkshire area. With over 715,500 residents this area is bustling with life and is home to a number of historical sites.

Leeds Castle is the most popular attraction in the area, overlooking the city from an island in the center of Leeds’ lake. This castle was home to the queens during medieval England and is the most fairy tale-styled castle in the country. Today you can tour the castle or attend an open-air concert or performance in the main court.

Within city limits you will also find The Armley Mills Museum that houses the mills that made England the powerful country it once was. You can peruse the Royal Armories Museum containing arms and armor from war, tournament and self-defense.

Though the city is historical, it is also known for its large University of Leeds. During the school year the city thrives with students and boasts a large nightlife.
