A child riding in a motor vehicle shal ride in a car seat until they are 5 years of age OR over 36 inches in heighth. They then have to remain in a seatbelt ANYWHERE IN THE VEHICLE until they are at least 17 years of age. After that they only have to be in a seatbelt if they are in the FRONT seats of a vehicle.
