What is the cause of Random misfires on a 3400 v6 Toyota 4runner?
Most likely due to bad spark plug wires... I've had these go bad several times over the life of the car. Also be sure to use the correct dual-ground spark plugs.
What would cause your 1996 grand prix gtp with the 3.4 dohc to have single and multiple cylinder misfires?
I have a '94 4Runner that needed a new mast so I went to http://www.antennamastsrus.com/ and ordered a new one for about $30. The instructions were good and the fix was easy. Although, shortly after install my motor stopped working altogether. I am positive that the new mast didn't cause the problem, I think it needs a new fuse or relay. Hope this helps.

I have a 92 4Runner and once you open the tailgate, there should be a piece of cloth covered cardboard that is on the inside of the tailgate. you can get a flat head screwdriver or use your hands and just pull it off. Only thing hold that panel in place is some plastic clips, they might break cause of the age of the vehicle, but are very easy to find.

Just use come common sense, take your time and keep track of your…

The most common cause of multiple misfires on the B20 / P75 engine used in the 1999 CRV is valve recession. this is a well documented problem on these engines. Repair usually requires replacement of the head.

I have a 1999 Licoln TC and must replace all 8 due to misfires as vehicle approches 100K miles. Remember also if you change your coils install new spark plugs!
Is it easy to misfire a 30-40 Krag Carbine If so how do I properly use the action to prevent misfires?
A flashing check engine light means you are doing serious damage to your catalytic converter due to repeated misfires in one or more cylinders. If you get a code scanner (or go to an autozone, oreilly's etc. where they scan it for free) you will see a code such as P0301 (misfire, cylinder 1). Your catalytic converter is probably shot now. If it is and If you live in a state that does emissions inspections…
White smoke is an indicator of water leaking into the combustion chamber. Most likely cause is a blown head gasket. Pull the radiator cap and turn over engine. If there is oil present or pressure that blows water out then its very likely a head gasket. Also check the oil and see if there is a discoloration of the oil. There is a possibility it is coming thru the manifold and you can check there…
