The model number is on the water table directly after the serial number, usually a letter ranging from A thru I with I the least fancy.
The Ithaca Gun Co manufactured the Lefever single barrel shotguns under the Lefever Arms Co. name after it acquired the company in 1916. This model was made between 1927 and 1942; the serial number indicates yours was made in 1928.

The lefever Nitro special was made by Ithaca Arms from 1921-1948.That being said i believe that yours was made in 1927.I do know that you can contact Ithaca arms and they will date your shotgun for you.
