it depend where you go to get it done, where you live, and if the key has a micro chip in it or not. when you look at your key right below the base if there is a little black piece of plastic then there is no way to get the key copied (the piece of plastic is a micro chip)

Key or ignition tumbler is worn. If you cannot remove the key, then you will have to remove the tumbler assembly and replace it. If you can get the key out, then try a key that is not used very often. If it works, have a duplicate made of that key and destroy the other key with the problems.

You can have one made but it isn't cheap. Or replace the ignition lock with one from a junk yard. Though I had the same problem, new key $125, used lock $60, but found the key.
